Week 4 Flashmeme Social Post
Feb. 2nd, 2016 06:55 pmHow's your week going, everyone? (I'm .... cold. But I live on Hoth in Alaska, so that's not surprising.)
This week's prompt is First Time. Do you have anything you're working on? Looking for a beta or brainstorming help? Just want to chat? Jump on in!

Date: 2016-02-05 01:05 am (UTC)I'm in Fairbanks! Where it is currently ... warmer than that, actually. (About 20 degrees. This winter has been shockingly warm, by our admittedly skewed standards.)
I grew up in the Valley, in a rural area about 30 miles west of Anchorage. So, closer to Soldotna to where I currently live, actually! It's so pretty down on the peninsula. I really like it down there.
As it happens, also, my brother is in the military and is currently stationed in Colorado! Small world. :D

Date: 2016-02-05 04:39 pm (UTC)omg! that's hilarious. hopefully he's staying warm too! though recently I was up in (er, closer to? idk if it properly counts) the mountains & it was actually warmer there than it is down here, so if he's stationed in the usual places he's probably just fine. XD

Date: 2016-02-06 08:17 am (UTC)I love it here, but I do miss living farther south. The Fairbanks area isn't nearly as pretty, and our weather is harsher ( ... well, usually; this has been a very Anchorage-y kind of winter). It's so gorgeous down there. I've only been to Seward a couple of times, but I really loved it! And I want to go back to Homer one of these days, too -- I've only been there once, and it's such a lovely, unique little town.
