... also, I have a question for all of you. Is a week enough time for each prompt, or should we run challenges for two weeks instead?

While it is nice to see weekly prompts, I worry about our dear mod (you!) burning out at that rate. What is comfortable for you?

It's not a hardship doing it every week. I have a list of future prompts and (provided I can remember to do it!) it doesn't take long to do the roundups and post the new prompt.

I'm thinking about maybe giving this prompt an extra week and seeing what happens. If it gets a lot more fic that way, then two weeks is better than one; if not, then every week is fine. I definitely wouldn't want to go any longer than two weeks on the same prompt, though.

I'm thinking about going for two weeks on this prompt and seeing what happens, but I haven't really decided yet ...

So the story I wrote about Lando a couple weeks ago is called "Cloud Illusions"--I was just looking for a good "cloud" related title, and hit on that lyric from "Both Sides Now." When I started brainstorming some other ideas I wanted to work with, I got the idea of doing a series of loosely-connected fics in the same headcanon setting that were titled after different verses in the song.

So just now I finished drafting a Lando-centric romance fic that kind of works as a sequel. Part of me thinks I should use verse two (which is about "love," kind of), but I think verse three really makes more sense for this one and I'll just have to resign myself to writing these out of song order. ;)

Thank you! :) So far, the weekly prompts aren't a problem to manage; I have a nice list to start out (and will probably ask for suggestions in the future). But I'm always open to whatever people would prefer to do, if extra time would be helpful.

I got distracted from this week's prompt by a co-writing project, so I wouldn't mind an extra week -- but I also like the weekly challenges. *sigh* Decisions, decisions.

Well, the prompt will come back around for the Amnesty round. :D So far it looks like most people are good with the weekly format, so I think I'll stick to it and post a new challenge tomorrow evening. However, there will be an amnesty round in, oh, 3 or 4 weeks or so. (I wanted to write for this one too, but got distracted by other things, darn it!)

I like weekly prompts, but with my RL work schedule sometimes (like last week haha) I am left scrambling at the last minute. But for me personally, I would probably end up procrastinating and doing the same thing if you ran it for two weeks. Ultimately I think whatever is most comfortable for you, because you're the one doing most of the work!

haha, yes, I think that's probably what *I* would do, for sure. XD I think for now I'll stick with the weekly prompts, but if we end up with some weeks when a bunch of people are working on unfinished fics, we can go an extra week on those!
